About a year back there was a posting about a bunker at southwick
Tunnel. I was recentley talking to a builder who had been involved and
he confirms that they hit a tunnel during the dig. He can't rememeber
if it was lined or not.He also mentioned playing in lined tunnels in
the early 60s around the Foredown area, probably just north of the
bypass. I have also heard of tunnels in Wild Park , the entrance is
open for about 5m. Any one know more on these? Pete

The Rotor bunker at Truleigh hill is just north of the Southwick tunnel.
Could be connected with this.

Thanks but I doubt it , thats about 3.5km away (as the crow flies or
tunneller digs) Pete

Apparently it used to be staffed by staff from the Kingston area of
Southwick, directly south of the site of the tunnel now.
Just a thought...
